DC Female’s Death Sheds Light on Domestic Violence

Mom killed inside her Southeast D.C. house very very early Saturday had gotten a crisis protective order against her ex-boyfriend, that is accused inside her murder, court papers reveal.

Stephanie Goodloe, 40, had been shot within the bed room of her home about 1:30 a.m. On the 700 block of Kentucky Avenue SE, near the Potomac Avenue Metro station, police said saturday.

Some body heard gunshots and screaming and called 911, but because of the time help arrived, Goodloe had died.

Documents obtained by News4 show that within the a couple of weeks before Goodloe had been killed, she contacted authorities times that are several report that her ex-boyfriend, Donald Hairston, had been harassing and threatening her.

Goodloe, whom worked in youth ministry at Mount Gilead Baptist Church in Northwest D.C., told authorities that on June 4 Hairston kicked and banged on her behalf windows times that are multiple the morning. Continue reading
